Our Cottages

We sympathetically converted our 17th Century listed stone and cob barns in 2004, to form three high quality, dog-friendly cottages. In order to make the most of the outstanding rural views, they face away from the farmhouse towards the distant Exmoor hills. Owl, Badger and Swallow all act as a cosy home from home, and are the perfect place to relax after a fun day out with the dogs.

For over 12 years we have welcomed any number of dogs of any size, who all go home worn out and happy after a great holiday in Devon.

Home comforts

Owl Cottage

Owl Cottage has two bedrooms, a double and a single, which sleep three guests comfortably. The kitchen/dining room is equipped with everything you should need for a comfortable holiday, including a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There are also cooking facilities should you decide to eat in.

The lounge area is complimented by beautiful, exposed beams and in the living room you will find an electric woodburner to keep you toasty during the colder months.

Perfect for multiple dogs

We've had an amazing time and enjoyed all the local dog walks. Will definitely be back. We thoroughly enjoy the area, the cottage is perfect for multiple dogs and it's nice how they are allowed everywhere. We really did have the best time and will be sad to leave. Agility equipment was fantastic fun

We have all loved our stay

We have all loved our stay in this cottage. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need. The hosts are very kind and helpful. We have been given toys for the little one. We also very much enjoyed the bonfire. The area is perfect for dogs and we have made the most of the agility equipment and all the space. Ideal for your doggy holiday

This was our first visit to Woodland cottages with our dog Archie. What a pleasant surprise, the cottage is well equipped, very clean and ideal for your doggy holiday. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Our favourite beach was Saunton sands, the water is shallow and a great place for your dog to play ball and swim. The Hunters Inn is a great place to eat.
